It is with love and sorrow that the family of Lincoln Ricky West, announce his unexpected passing on Saturday, June 15, 2024 at the age of 17 years.

Lincoln’s memory will be lovingly cherished by his parents Debbie and Rick; brother Nico (Kayleen); sister Savannah; dogs Kingston and Princeton; grandparents Ruth Scherr and Harold and Irene West; aunts Jennifer (Rob) Kurbis and Wendy (Wayne) Osborne; uncles Joe (Marj) Boxer and Donald (Sonia) Racette; cousins Dustin (Jen) Wild, Logan (Kailash) Wild, Kyle (Samantha) Kelk, Evan (Emily) Kelk, Lexie (Sean) Kelk, Tanner (Telisha) Osborne, Jordyn (Braydon) Osborne, Felicia Boxer, Joey (Aimee) Boxer and Brydon Wall. He was predeceased by his grandfather Frank Scherr and aunt Laurie Kelk.

Lincoln was a wonderful young man, he was kind and caring and had an amazing sense of humour. He was a friend to all. He excelled in sports and school. He was never happier than when he was lacing up his skates, stepping out on the baseball or football field or when he was putting on one of his many sports Jerseys. He brought so much joy and touched the lives of so many people who knew him. We will miss Lincoln tremendously.

A Celebration of Lincoln’s Life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 22, 2024 at the Balgonie Multiplex, 1045 Hwy 364, Balgonie, SK. To honour and respect Lincoln and his family, they ask those who are attending to wear their favourite sports jersey in support. For those unable to attend, a livestream may be viewed at https://www.youtube.com/live/cKSA9pFi5Z4?si=kt3D2U3p1LM_fn-k. Flowers will be gratefully declined. Those so wishing may make a donation to Lincoln’s GoFundMe, where all proceeds will go towards Youth Mental Health Initiatives, https://gofund.me/2f27c375.

Grief never ends...
But it changes.
It’s a passage,
Not a place to stay.
Grief is not a sign of weakness,
Nor a lack of faith...
It’s the price of LOVE.
