Obituary of Dustin Ross Perrault

Please share a memory of Dustin to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

It is with overwhelming grief and sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our sweet Dustin. Although Dustin had a short life it was well-lived. Born in Calgary, Alberta, he lived his early preschool life in Swan Hills and Fort Assiniboine. The family later moved to Okotoks, and then overseas to Singapore. During trips back to Canada, the family stopped off to vacation in a few places, Japan, Rome and China to enjoy and explore the different cultures. After a brief family return to Medicine Hat, Alberta, Dustin then moved with his parents to Jakarta, Indonesia. Dustin also took a trip to England to visit and meet an online friend. After graduation Dustin returned to Regina. He always felt by then he had travelled enough and was content to make Regina his home.

Dustin had a unique personality and was the sweetest person ever. He accepted everyone unconditionally for who they were and never had a complaint or negative comment about anyone. Dustin had an extreme intelligence and ability to research practically anything. The knowledge he held was astonishing. Whether discussing politics, world events, philosophy, history or video games he always had a logical and well researched opinion. And so became the family go to, whenever they wanted an objective opinion, a question answered or a computer problem solved.

Dustin enjoyed playing video games, collecting Pokémon and was a devoted anime fan, especially if it had a Japanese origin. Dustin had a talent for editing and often would help rework many pieces of written work with excellence. Dustin had an online international group of gamer friends he enjoyed connecting with often over many years. Dustin retained his innocent child-like nature throughout his life and collected video games and stuffed toy animals since he was a small child. There was no one sweeter than Dustin.

Although we must all leave this earth for the spiritual plane at our appointed time, we will miss this sweet soul for the rest of our days.

Dustin is survived by mother Anita Perrault; sister Lisa Dallyn; grandfather Harlan White; aunt Vicki Hansen; uncles Morris (Leah) White, Wes (Shelly) White and many cousins (along with their children), in Saskatchewan, Alberta, BC and Iowa; as well as, numerous relatives on the Perrault side of the family.

Dustin joins in spirit, his father, Leo Perrault; grandmother, Gloria (Harlan) White; grandparents, Jeanne and John Perrault; uncles, Chris (Donna) White, Herb (Wanda) White, Tony White (infant), and step-grandmother, Eileen (Harlan) White.

A small family memorial will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 16, 2024 at New Hope Lutheran Church, 370 McIntosh St. N, Regina, SK.

“Each person who enters our life comes bearing a gift.
For some, it is a gift of love.
For others, a gift of healing.
And for others, a gift of wisdom.

Welcome all, and trust that though
you may not recognize it in the present,
one day when you look back on
how you transformed from meeting them,
you will surely find it
or you will find it in their absence.”
