Obituary of Erwin Leonard Wentland

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our loving father, grandfather (papa), brother, uncle and dear friend. Erwin Wentland passed away suddenly with family by his side on Thursday, May 23, 2024 at Regina General Hospital at the age of 93.

Erwin will forever be loved and remembered by his loving wife of 70 years, Edna Wentland; daughter Marilyn (Angus) Cameron; son Leonard Wentland; as well as his grandchildren Mike Cameron (April) and Melissa (Chris) Grant; sisters Lily and Dorothy; brother-in-law Henry; sisters-in-law Marion and Evelyn; along with numerous nieces and nephews, their families, and many wonderful friends. He was predeceased by his great-granddaughter Peighton; parents Adam and Elizabeth; siblings Gus (Laura), Hertha (Len), Betty (Fred) and Linda (Ken); parents-in-law Fred and Angela; brothers-in-laws Marcel, Gillis, Albert and Eddie; and sisters-in-law Ruth and Isabelle.

A huge thank you to the paramedics that tended to Erwin at home, your kindness, patience, and humour meant a lot. Another huge thank you to the nurses and doctors in both the ER and 6F at Regina General Hospital that tended to dad. The compassion and respect shown from everyone meant the world to us.

In honour of Erwin, a Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 31,2024 at Christ Lutheran Church, 4825 Dewdney Avenue, Regina, SK.
