Obituary of Jackie Stenzil

Jacqueline Mae Stenzil was born on January 13, 1946 and passed at Pasqua Hospital on Monday, May 20, 2024.

Jackie is lovingly remembered by her husband of almost 60 years, Robert Stenzil; daughters, Kathy, Donna and BobbyJo (Brent) Wesley; and two grandsons, Billy and Dawson. She will be missed by her brothers and sisters, Dora (Alex) Cross, Terry (Janet) Thomas, Blaine (Pat) Thomas, Gail (Willie) Monkman, Randy (Darlene) Thomas and Debbie (Marcel) Nicolas; siblings-in-law, Myra (Pat) Stenzil, Judy (Elek) Balla, and Janet (John) Terin; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Jackie was predeceased by her parents, John and Anne Thomas; and parents-in-law Henry and Marjorie Stenzil.

Jackie loved Jesus first and foremost, and lived everyday serving Him.  She had a deep and meaningful relationship with her Lord Jesus Christ and fully believed she would be meeting Him in Heaven when she passed. 

Jackie was avidly involved in Christian Women’s Club, Child Evangelism Fellowship, Friendship Bible Coffees, Faith Bible Camp, and Strasbourg Bible Camp.  She taught many children Sunday School through the years at Parliament Community Church, Bethany Gospel Chapel and many churches in Manitoba. Jackie loved passing on her love of Jesus and the scriptures to those younger than her.

Jackie adored hosting people in her home for a coffee or a meal or for the night, where good fellowship and laughter was sure to be had.  She loved to play games - Yahtzee and Boggle to name a couple. She could often be found in the wee hours of the morning working on a jigsaw puzzle.

Jackie had a smile that was welcoming and lit up every room and eyes that sparkled.  She knew how to make each person she met, feel special and heard.  She loved her family very much and always put them first and being a grandma was her greatest joy!
We look forward to the day when we can be reunited with her in heaven.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 25, 2024 at Parliament Community Church, 4011 Pasqua Street, Regina, SK.
