Dawn and family our condolences to you on Trevor's passing and to Karen, Kevin, Lyndon and all the rest of the Heinemann family. We can't imagine what you're going through, but you are all in our hearts. I went through High School at Scott Collegiate and Undergraduate studies at the University of Regina together with Trevor. Trevor was a great friend. He was a gifted athlete and always showed up "ready to play". I can see him now thrusting his arms skyward, rolling his head back and laughing as he crossed the finish line victorious....miles ahead of the competition.... to set a new record in the 100 yard dash at Forbes day in Grade nine. He was a passionate basketball player and keen to stay in shape motivating me to spend hours/years together with him down at the Regina Athletic Club. I had a lot of fun and shared a lot of adventures with Trevor; I'm thinking in particular of a glorious summer holiday in BC we squeezed in during late August/early September '87 after our summer jobs were finished and before University studies resumed. The holiday was launched by a straight 20 hour drive from Regina to Vancouver on a Friday evening, punctuated only by a stop for a dip in the Okanagan in Osoyoos and powered for most of those 20 hours by beef teriyaki with rice that Florence had prepared for us. Another great adventure was when Trevor came over to Helsinki in July 1990 to pick me up after I finished a job there to whisk me off for a six week train trip around Europe. On a lot of levels I covered a lot of terrain with Trevor over the years. He will be missed, but he's in all of our souls and he is treasured.

To Heinemann Family,
My sympathy to you all. I just read Trevor’s obit from reading Walters obituary. How sad. An ache in my heart to loose more family thou we had not ever met. But I remember my Grandfather John Heineman talking about his half brothers. I seem to have an appreciation of Heinemann Family from corresponding with Herb due to our interest in family history.
I am thinking of you all.

Dear Dawn and family. I am shocked and saddened to hear of Trevor’s passing. I first met Trevor in the late 90’s when I was at CMHA and he was representing CM. He had a way of mixing humour and compassion in his work and helped us to look at issues from the “street” level. He will be missed.
