Dwight, O.G. and the Nixon Family - we are so sorry to hear of the passing of your Mom and Grandma. What a beautiful lady with such an infectious smile. Always had the time to stop and chat with everyone young and old and never forgot your name. Mrs. Nixon's community involvement and attendance at events was obviously a pure enjoyment for her. R.I.P. as you re-join your loving husband, family and friends.

Doug and Dwila,
No matter the number of years or circumstances it's still always hard to say goodbye. Your mom lived a good long life and judging by the lovely tribute to her life, it sounds like it was happy and full of love. It also sounds like you two are both chips off the block in different ways.
My condolences on the loss of your mom.

My deepest condolences to the Nixon family. I'll never forget Lily May, she was just the sweetest lady. When we first moved to Kronau, we had a faint knock on our door around 3 am one night, thank God our dog went crazy barking...standing outside with bare feet was a little old lady and she was so cold. We took her in the house and warmed her up and the only thing she kept saying was the word "nixon". We didn't know anyone here so we looked in the phone book and found Eldon and Lily May's number and I phoned....the little old lady was Lily May's mother who had wandered to our house in the middle of the night! That's how we met Eldon and Lily May.....they were always such nice, friendly people and I certainly enjoyed chatting with them every once in awhile.

To The Nixon Family; My Deepest Sympathy goes out to all of you on the loss of a precious mother; Grandmother and Great Grandmother. Lily May was an amazing person and I have many wonderful memories of her during our time in Kronau and then later all the times we would run into each other at different events. She was such a kind and caring person and always had a Great sense of humour.
I know she will be missed by all.. but know she will always be a part of you.. so keep her memory close.

To the family -
In the days and weeks that follow
Perhaps you'll often find
That even long-lost memories
Will slip into your mind,
And suddenly your loved one
Won't seem so far from you...
You'll think of touching stories,
The things you used to do,
And favorite family moments
In which you both took part --
These souvenirs of happy times
Will keep you close at heart.
I am so sorry for your loss.
Always enjoyed my visits with Lily May.
