It is with deep sadness we announce the sudden passing of Poppins on January 31, 2024. He was predeceased by his mother Wendy Gopher; kokum and moshom John Gopher and Ruby Desjarlais Gopher; great grandmother Louise Desjarlais; great grandfather George Desjarlais; aunties Rosemary, Rhonda, Lisa; uncles Lindsey and granddaughter Olive Fourstar. He is survived by his great grandmother Lillian Piapot; uncles John Gopher and Neil Gopher.
Poppins leaves to mourn, his wife Wanda Fourstar; children Tristin (Jasmine), Octavius, Aiden, Denzel, Lindsey (Zayda), Michael (Chelsea), twin daughters Crystal (Evan) and Mary-Jane (Keegan), Elena and Wendy; grandchildren Aubrey and Kregan; and numerous other family and friends.
Poppins was raised by his great grandparents Louise and George Desjarlais. He was a hard worker and very kind-hearted. He loved working with horses and trained thoroughbred horses. Poppins was a farm labourer and a jack of all trades. He was self-taught and was motivated to figure things out. He was always ready to help anyone. His father was Mexican and Poppins was known as our favourite Mexican. Poppins will be sadly missed by the community, family and friends.
