Please share a memory of Greg to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
KOHUT, Greg Greg passed away peacefully on 11 September, from cancer, just 59 years old. He was an enthusiastic entrepreneur founding many businesses including futon manufacturing and retailing in Regina, kitchen cabinet installation in Vancouver and then ran an award winning pizza restaurant, Mundo’s in Kitsilano, Vancouver. Greg then went on to property development in Costa Rica and a recreation business on Lake Kelowna. In his fifties he returned to his original skill of carpentry in Regina which he learned at STI Moose Jaw. He was also educated at Grant Road School and Campbell Collegiate, Regina. Greg was a true “bon vivant” with a motto he picked up in Costa Rica “Pura Vida” loosely meaning “enjoy life”. Greg travelled extensively in western Europe, the Middle East, India and Nepal. He is predeceased by his mother Rosemary (Gill) Kohut and father Alexander Kohut, and survived by his brother Chris in London and several cousins. He asked that his ashes be spread across the prairies, as a true Saskatchewanian. A celebration of his life will be held on Monday 26 September, details from his brother at kohut@century.co.uk
