Obituary of Elsie May McConnell

Elsie May McConnell (nee Harrison), late of Carlyle, SK, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 15, 2024 with her family by her side, at the age of 79.

Elsie is survived by her daughters Coreena McConnell (Warren Pielak), Jacqualine “Jackie” Boyko (Stephen), and Faye McConnell (Doug Taylor); grandchildren, Amanda and James Nelson, Liam Wielgoz, and Lois and  Margaret Boyko; great-grandson, Karson Nelson; sisters, Mildred Bryant, Kay Benson and Harriet Gooden (Barry); brother, Ed (Sandy) Harrison; sister-in-law, Gayle Harrison; many nieces and nephews; special friends Bertha Drumm and family, Leslie Moore's family, Gwen Hirtle and family, Cas and LaVerne Pielak, Shirley McNair and families, Debbie Fischer and families, our extended McConnell families; her friends in Carlyle, Wawota and Regina including Carlyle Housing, the Happy Gang Senior Centre and the Lions Club of Carlyle.

Elsie was predeceased by one son in infancy, James McConnell; parents Edith and Henry Harrison; sisters, Alice (Steve) McLennan, Gladys (George) Dewarte, Eva Stewart, and Delia Harrison; brothers, Ivan and Mel Harrison; sister-in-law, Shirley Harrison; brothers-in-law Lloyd Bryant and Gerard Nyland; and special friends, Cameron Bricker and Leslie Moore.

Our family would like to thank the medical teams of Carlyle, Arcola, Estevan and Regina who provided care, compassion and support for our Mum.
