Obituary of Steven Dale Lewis
It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Steven Dale Lewis on Friday, January 5, 2024.
Steve’s biggest goal when he was younger was to become a firefighter. He was given the opportunity to be a volunteer firefighter for a short period, which he loved and was always proud of. Steve had a love of music, especially for the band U2. So much so, that he made sure to see them multiple times in concert across Canada (and would continuously blast their music in the house much to his family’s dismay). In the summer, Steve would be the first one to jump in his car to chase thunderstorms across the countryside. He loved following and watching any storm he could, sometimes ending up on random country roads (getting stuck a time or two). He also had a love of Volkswagen cars and refused to own anything but. For a couple of years, Steve enjoyed his time living in Victoria, BC with his cousin Nathan.
Steve loved his family, friends and his cats (Sage, Spike and Bella). He had a big heart and, over the last year, he found himself doing what he could to help the homeless situation in Regina.
Steve was predeceased by his father Herb Lewis; grandparents Cliff and Pauline Lewis and Howard and Vivian Mader. He is survived by his mother Linda Lewis; siblings Shane (Tiffany) Lewis and Stefanie (Joshua) Kretschmer; nephews (who he cherished), Brody, Gabriel, Lincoln, Anthony and Oliver; as well as numerous uncles, aunts and cousins.
A Private Family Service was held on Friday, January 12. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Canadian Mental Health Association (Saskatchewan Division), 2702, 12th Ave, Regina, SK, S4T 1J2 or Carmichael Outreach Inc, 1510 12 Ave, Regina, SK, S4P 0L5.
In Loving Memory
