Obituary of Rosemary Flaman
Rosemary Flaman (nee Koszman), formerly of Southey, SK passed away peacefully in High River, AB. Rosemary courageously battled brain cancer for almost three years and died at the age of 68.
It is with great love and sorrow that Rosemary is remembered and mourned by her loving husband Matt Flaman; sons Greg (Cara), Jonathon (Jenny) and Jeff (Shammah); grandchildren Samantha (Jordan) Fontaine, Alexander (Danna Rotariu), Nicholas, Quinn, Jaina and Johanna; great-grandchildren Bentley and Harper Fontaine; sister Nancy (Terry) Stevenson; and brother David (Alice) Koszman. Rosemary was predeceased by her parents John and Ethel Koszman.
Rosemary grew up on a farm near Tribune and attended school in Oungre, SK. After graduation she moved to Regina and attended the Reliance College of Business. Rosemary enjoyed a long career working at the Wascana Rehabilitation Centre. She also enjoyed working for the Southey Health Action Centre and the Saskatchewan Seniors Mechanism. After retirement, Rosemary and Matt moved to High River, AB in 2016. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and riding her motorbike through the mountains. Rosemary also enjoyed cooking, curling and her cat, Gizmo. Rosemary’s faith was important to her and she was an active member at the St. James Roman Catholic Church in Southey for numerous years.
Rosemary will be greatly missed by her family, relatives, friends and all the many people she touched in her lifetime with her gentleness, kindness and compassion.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at St. James Parish, Southey, SK. A very special thank you to Dr. Scott Rapske, Dr. Matt Pyatt and Dr. Gloria and the staff at the Seasons Retirement Community in High River, AB.
