Obituary of Dale William Haus

Please share a memory of Dale to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
DALE WILLIAM HAUS JAN. 28, 1942 – SEPT. 1, 2016 It is with deepest sorrow that we say farewell to our beloved brother, uncle, cousin and a great friend to many. Dale was born in Lestock, SK, the eldest of 8 siblings. Dale was predeceased by his parents Alex & Olga; brothers Harvey and Gerry; and sister-in-law Muriel Haus. He is survived by brothers Rod Haus, Keith (Carmen) Haus; sisters Gloria (Victor) Senft, Lorna (Clarence) Charko, and Marilyn (Reg) Poisson; numerous nieces and nephews; and good neighbour and friend Kay Plohr. After a short stint in school, Dale decided to start a business in land clearing, and expanded it into road building. After more than 30 years of construction, he switched careers and became a grain cleaner for local farmers for nearly a decade. He was Reeve for the RM of Touchwood #248 from 1982-1986. He then became a full-time farmer which he thoroughly enjoyed until his passing. Dale was a talented self-taught mechanic. He thoroughly enjoyed having coffee and discussions with his neighbours and long time friends. Dale will be sadly missed by all who knew him. A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 9, 2016 at the Quinton Lutheran Cemetery with Rev. Vicki Young officiating. Luncheon to follow in the Trinity Lutheran Church basement.
