Obituary of Rita Emma Fiddler

Rita Emma Fiddler (nee Ricard)

March 13, 1932 - October 29, 2023

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our mother Rita.  She was born on March 13, 1932 in Edam, SK.  She passed away peacefully with her children at her side on Sunday, October 29, 2023 at Pasqua Hospital, Regina, SK.  Rita was predeceased by her husband, Euclid Joseph Fiddler; daughters, Verna Kolish and Florence Gustafson; and son, Darryle Fiddler.  She is survived by her daughters, Shirley Pederson, Denise Wright (Phil), Laura Lang and Brenda Fiddler (Mac Bell); son, Eldon Fiddler; sister, Marie Rose Burroughs (Harold); along with 21 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

We would like to thank all of the doctors and nurses on the Palliative care unit at Pasqua Hospital for the excellent care given to our mother.

We would also like to thank Paragon Funeral home for helping/guiding us with the funeral arrangement and services provided in this difficult time.

Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 9, 2023 at St. Cecelia RC Parish, 5020 7th Avenue, Regina, SK. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the palliative care unit at the Pasqua hospital.
