Obituary of Peter John Avram

Peter passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at Parkside Special Care Home surrounded by his family at the age of 96.

Peter was born on July 21, 1927 on a farm near Kayville, SK. He married  Irene Juravel and together they had four children. Peter and Irene moved to Regina where he worked at Fuhrman Meats and later started his own concrete business, where he worked until his retirement.

After his retirement, Peter loved puttering around at the shop and gardening with his granddaughter, Carlie.

He is survived by his wife, Irene; children, Judy (Mitchell) Scott, Ernie (Diane) Avram, Barbara Forbes and Wayne Avram; eight grandchildren, Amanda, Christine, Penelope, Colby, Carlie, Vanessa, Michael and Shobi; and eight great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the staff at Parkside Special Care Home for their exceptional care, especially “fancy” Nancy.

At Peter’s request, there will be no funeral service.
