I only met and chatted with Jereme one time. It was in the front yard of his parents' home looking over the Qu'Appelle Valley with his brother Jay, Lori's parents, and brother and his wife, and me having a summer evening together outdoors. Randy was at the barbecue and Lori had made a lot of salads - lots of foods to choose from. I don't remember what we chatted about but because I was a teacher and Jereme was training to be a teacher, it likely had to do with what we had in common. I don't know if Jereme played his guitar around the fire but I like to think that he did. I know that he was a very intelligent and talented man and his parents are very proud of him for all that he accomplished. He will be ever loved.

Jer was a good friend. I knew him for around 25 years.
I first knew him as the bass player from a local punk band I really liked called Moral Panic. He was a really good bass player and we used to jam once in awhile. We worked together at a couple of places, John Deere and at the Hospital Laundry. We used to go to concerts, we had gone to see Weird Al at the exhibition, he came over to watch the Super Bowl a couple years ago when the Cincinnati Bengals, his favourite team was playing, we went to wrestling at the University last November. That was the last time I had seen Jer in person, but we had stayed in touch over the phone. I last spoke to Jer in June. He was very excited his family was coming to town and he had a wedding to go to.
My condolences to his family.

I was so sorry to hear this news.
You and I spent a lot of hours on the field together, I never new of his problems.
This will be hard for you and Lori to get over, but I believe Jeremy is in peace now and that’s what I think you (I hope and believe) and Lori feel, sadly.

To Lori, Randy, Jay and the rest of Jereme’s family. My sincerest condolences on his passing. I was lucky to still be in periodic touch with him over the years and feel lucky to have gotten to know him in high school. His humour and quick wit and distinctive laugh will be something for which I remember him.
