Obituary of Garnet Kumick

It is with great sadness that the family of Garnet Thomas Kumick announce his passing on Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at the age of 78 in Regina, SK. Born on December 30, 1944, he was raised in Glenavon, SK.

Garnet is survived by his loving wife, Vivian; three children, Janine (Cory) and their children Nathan and Allison; Lorelei (Kevin) and their child Kevin; and Craig and children, Sherese, Emily, Teela and Fira; brother, Doug Kumick; sister, Johann Mise; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his granddaughter, Julliette Mallard; and parents Joseph and Pauline (nee Florek) Kumick.

Garnet will be remembered for his kind and gentle nature, love of life and generous heart. He will be missed deeply by all who knew and loved him.

A special thank you to the staff at the Regina Wascana Grace Hospice for enhancing his quality of life in his final days.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, September 18, 2023 at Broadway United Church, 105 Broadway Avenue, Regina, SK. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Garnet’s memory to a charity of your choice.
