Obituary of Debra Carlson

It is with great sadness that Debbie’s short courageous fight with terminal cancer took her from us on Tuesday, July 11, 2023, at 66 years of age. She was born on November 8, 1956, in Radville, SK. Debbie was a mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend.

Debbie is lovingly survived by her son Travis Carlson and grandchildren Haley, Jenna, Aycen, and Jayce; son Blair (Christine) Carlson; son Trent Carlson, and grandchildren Brooklyn, Savannah, Marrisa, and Brayden; siblings, Faye (Brian) Melby, Denise (Paul) Green de Montigny, Roger (Lu Bing Rong) Bellavance, Brenda (Dwayne) Hicks, Shawna (Keith) Chibi; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Don and Selma Bellavance; and brother-in-law Bill Green.

Debbie had a devoted love of family; she was an amazing mother and grandmother. Debbie was a much-loved sister, aunt, true friend, and wife who gave it her all.  Her honesty, loyalty, and compassion shone through in everything she did. Debbie was such a good sport; her laughter and sense of humor filled the room.

There was never a time you would go hungry with Debbie’s delicious cooking. She catered for many events-large and small, as well housed and fed hunters from across North America every fall.

Debbie also worked for the Radville Heath District and was a much-valued employee. She put every bit of energy into everything she did, without even realizing how good she was at making the best out of everything, shining in more ways than she ever could imagine.

Later in life, she struggled with mental health issues, but she was surrounded by the loving caring arms of her family, loyal friends, and caregivers.

Debbie will be forever missed, forever cherished, and forever be in our hearts.

A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered.

Celebration of Life will be held from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at Radville Senior Center, 614 Healy Ave, Radville, SK.
