Obituary of Jeannette Edgington

Jeannette Marie Edgington Jeannette Marie Edgington (Forgues/McCormick) was born on May 28, 1934 in Vawn, SK and passed away on Saturday, August 20, 2016 in Regina SK. Jeannette was adopted into the McCormick family when she was 7 years old and grew up in Wapella, SK. Predeceased by her parents Eva (Cardin) Forgues and Henry Forgues and adopted parents Sarah and Malcolm McCormick, brothers Paul Forgues, Rosario Forgues, Joseph Forges, Phillip Forgues, Robert Forgues, Richard Forgues and sister Gertrude Clark; adopted brothers Lawrence McCormick, Allan McCormick, Tony McCormick, Donald John McCormick and sister Margret (McCormick) MacDonald. Mom is survived by her children: David Edgington, Diane (Gerard) Ziegler, Bev Edgington and Gail (Alan) Edgington; grandchildren Jessica (Neil) Dakiniewich, Joshua Ziegler, Bobbie (Nathen) Kerry, Alicia Perreault, Courtney Perreault and Jennifer Schwager; great-grandchildren Jacob and Lucas Dakiniewich, Zephyr Ziegler and Ella Kerry; brother Alphonse Thompson, sisters Pauline Rousseaux (Jim) and Theresa Amerud; adopted brother Rusty McCormick. Mom worked hard as a baker for 20 years. In the summer mom loved to garden and we all reaped the rewards with fresh vegetables, canned tomatoes and she was famous for her pickles. In the winter she made quilts and enjoyed knitting, we are all grateful for the quilts, mitts, toques, sweaters, scarves and socks she made us over the years. When mom wasn’t making something for her own family she enjoyed making blankets for the animals at the humane society and toques and blankets for the babies in the hospitals. Funeral Mass will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 26, 2016 at Our Lady of Peace R.C. Parish, 425 Broad St. N., Regina, SK with Fr. Peter Nguyen as Celebrant. We love you Mom, Grandma and we will miss you.
