Obituary of Mathilde "Tilly" Hodel

Mathilde Hodel 1939 - 2016 It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother and Oma Tillie on Saturday, August 13, 2016, after a lengthy struggle with health issues. She will be treasured always and lovingly remembered by her children Carolyn and Dan, Denise and Anthony, granddaughters Nikea and Kelsey, Paisley and Avery, brothers Josef (Anne), Rochus (Karin), Georg (Sylvia), and Johannes, also brother-in-law Fred (Trudy) and sister-in-law Irene, as well as many nieces, nephews and other relatives in Germany and Canada. She was predeceased by her husband Arnold, her parents Aloys and Marianne, and her brother August. Mom was happiest when she spent time with family. She was always hardworking. As a long time member of the Austrian Club she made many good friends. Wherever Mom went she always made friends; she always had a good joke or two to share. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 18, 2016 at Holy Family Parish, 1021 McCarthy Blvd. N., Regina, officiated by Rev. Carlos Jimenez. A private family interment will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation).
