Brenda Lee Butz

April 1, 1954 - May 17, 2023

It is with great sadness and love that the family of Brenda Butz announce her peaceful passing after a long illness. Brenda is survived by her husband Ron Powchuk; daughter Patricia Fladeland; son Christopher Butz; and their father Glenn Butz; daughter-in-law Bryanna; step-son Adam Powchuk and his family; step-daughter Amanda Powchuk and her family; grandchildren Brooklyn Fladeland, Noah Fladeland and Victoria Butz; sisters Beverly (Brad) Wagar and family and Barbara Galger (Brian) and family; brother Clay Heisler (Laura) and family; as well as other many family members and cherished friends.

Brenda was a provider. A strong and driven woman during her life. In 2005, she underwent surgery for a double lung transplant, which proved her bravery, strength and determination.

Brenda didn’t let her illness pave the way for her future. She continued to live life with a beautiful smile and laughter.

Brenda loved the outdoors. She enjoyed camping, fishing and spending time on the boat. Brenda spent most of her time during the summers out at Diefenbaker Lake, where she relaxed in the peaceful surroundings listening to the birds singing and enjoying the summer heat.

Brenda was a visionary, creative, meticulous and particular. She was always planning her next great design, whether it be out at the lake, in the garden, interior design, creating jewelry, painting, baking or making ornaments to share with her family. You could say she was the MacGyver of artistic capabilities.

Brenda was a proud grandmother. She loved spending time and passing on her knowledge and providing. Brenda was delighted to meet her youngest grandchild, Victoria, 3 years ago.

Brenda was a true angel; she will be missed greatly and never forgotten.
