Obituary of Celus Joseph Nadon
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our dear dad, grandpa / papa, uncle, cousin and friend, Celus Joseph Nadon. Celus passed away peacefully with his twin girls and their families at his side on Thursday, April 27, 2023 at the age of 73 in Regina,SK.
Celus was predeceased by his wife of 48 years, Barbara; parents, Joseph and Dorothy Nadon; sisters, Marvella Lefebvre, Elaine Ebach and Lois Jones; parents-in-law, Ken and Edna Melby; brother-in-law, Marcel Lefebvre; niece, Liane Lefebvre; and great-nephew, Ethan Lefebvre.
Celus is survived by his two daughters Carol (Richard) Wittal and their children Zade, Sydney, and Karsen; and Karen (Mark) Eckert and their children Jazlyn, Cole and Cruz. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Celus was born in Lampman, SK in 1949 to Dorothy and Joseph Nadon. He was the youngest of four children. Celus grew up in Lampman then moved to Weyburn with his parents when he was a teenager, this is where he met the love of his life, Barbara Melby. Celus and Barbara were married October 1969, then in December 1970 they welcomed twin girls to complete their family.
Celus’s career was being an Industrial Mechanic (millwright) that started in Weyburn then relocated to Regina. He had many interests and hobbies which included obtaining his personal pilots license, golfing, fishing, and travelling as a snowbird to Arizona for the winter months. The last few years, Celus joined the Northgate Walkers Club where he enjoyed meeting and getting together with the other members for a morning walk to end with a coffee and visit. This is where he met so many friends including a special friend, Linda Smith. The most important thing to Celus was quality time with family and friends and a good game of hand and foot canasta.
Celus will be remembered as someone who had a big heart and loved his family and friends tremendously. We will never forget the beautiful person he was and the laughter he brought to all.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Celus’ memory may be made to the Salvation Army Grace Hospice 50 Angus Road, Regina, SK. S4R 8P6. A Private Family Interment will be held at a later date.
In Loving Memory
