Obituary of Valerie Marie Racette

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Valerie Racette. Valerie was predeceased by her son Russell Crowe; lifelong partner and friend Wesley Crowe; mother Angie Rush; brother Gary Racette; aunt Alvina Keller; and uncle Pete Keller.

Valerie is survived by her children Jerry Crowe, Crystal Crowe, Christopher Crowe and Paul Racette; siblings Terry Racette, Ken Rush, Patricia Racette and Mervin Racette; grandchild Evan Crowe, Jocelyn Crowe, Presley Crowe, Derek Crowe, Jeremy Crowe, Aaron Crowe, Jared Crowe, T’Kaela Gerl, J’Kaden Gerl, M’Kenna Gerl, Kieston Crowe, Caleb Racette and Sophia Racette; great-grandchild Payton Crowe; as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Valerie loved her family and friends. She expressed how she held a special place in her heart for her grandchildren. Valerie also gave endless love to any dog lucky enough to be cared by her. Some of her favourite things to do were going to bingo, cooking, baking and being surrounded by friends and family.

Wake will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, May 1, 2023 at Piapot Community Center, Piapot First Nation, SK. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at the same location.
