Obituary of Magdalen Katherine Helmeczi

Magdalen (mom, grandma and great-grandma) passed away peacefully at Regina Wascana Grace Hospice at the age of 93, just a few weeks from her 94^th birthday. She was predeceased by her husband Andrew; parents, and five siblings. Magdalen is survived by her children, Chester (Adelina), Janet (Brian), Bertha (Brian), Thomas (Laurie), Christopher (Sara) and Margaret; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters-in-law and three brothers-in-law; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. A special thank you to all her caregivers at the Grace Hospice, General and Pasqua hospitals, and TCU.

A very special thank you to Michelle and her staff at Sunset Place PCH for giving our mother a place to call home where she fully enjoyed and appreciated being catered to for four months in between hospital stays. In lieu of flowers, donations in Magdalen's memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.
