Obituary of Clara Pytel

Pytel, Clara August 9, 1928 - July 30, 2016 The last family member of her generation, Clara passed away peacefully at the Regina Wascana Grace Hospice at the age of 87 years. She is predeceased by her parents Albert and Caroline Pytel; brother Leon Pytel; sister Jennie Wolfe; brother-in-law Cliff Wolfe; niece Donna Wolfe and grand nephew Cooper Jakowski. Clara is survived by her sister-in-law Jadwiga Pytel; nieces Susan Jakowski, Brenda (John) Szala, Rhonda (Dino) Rasmussen; nephew Len (Maureen) Pytel as well as several grand nephews and nieces. Clara worked for the Department of Education for her entire civil service career. She was a patient and precise gardener. Her creative talents included sewing, knitting, needlepoint and painting as many relatives and friends were the recipients of her handiwork. Clara loved cats and raised and nurtured many throughout her life. Clara resided at St. Basil's Senior Citizen's Manor for over 20 years until failing health required her to receive more care. The family would like to thank the caregivers at The Victorian Personal Care Home, nurses and staff at the Regina General Hospital and the Grace Hospice. A private family graveside will be held at a later date.
