Obituary of Quinn Emily Valente

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Quinn Emily Valente (nee Torgunrud) announce her passing in Weyburn, SK on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at the age of 34.

Quinn was born in Regina, SK on March 27, 1989. She graduated from Balfour Collegiate in 2007 and Avant Garde Beauty College in 2009 with a diploma in cosmetology. Quinn’s career ambitions were vast, and she was always exploring new areas of interest. She had aspirations to further her education in healthcare, as she loved her time at Tatagwa View Nursing Home.

Quinn had an adventurous spirit which took her on many international travels. While on her second trip to Japan in 2015, she excitedly discovered that she was expecting her daughter, Hadley. Although Quinn had many great experiences and moments in her life, her absolute greatest joy was being Hadley's mother.

Quinn was very spiritual and empathetic in nature. She connected with people easily and as a result developed many lifelong friendships which she cherished greatly. Quinn relished the fact that her relocation to Weyburn in her 20s allowed her to deepen her relationship with her grandmother, Mary Lou Hille.

Left to honour Quinn's memory are her young daughter Hadley Valente; mother Karen Torgunrud and step-father Mark Weisgerber; father Daryl Torgunrud; sister Erika Torgunrud; nephew Kai Cowan; special great-aunt Kathi Zeller; and Hadley's father Derek Valente. She will also be dearly missed by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends.

It is of comfort to the family to know that Quinn is now with her grandparents Evelyn and Merlin Torgunrud and Mary Lou and John Hille.

A Come and Go Celebration of Life for Quinn will be held from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. at Mckenna Auditorium (lower hall), 317 3rd Street NE, Weyburn, SK on Saturday, April 29, 2023.
