Obituary of Bess Grebinsky

The family of Bessie Maxine Grebinsky (nee Beatty) is saddened to announce her sudden passing on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at the age of 88. Bess was the beloved wife of Vern Grebinsky. They would have celebrated their 70^th anniversary this coming May.

Bess was born in Gainsborough, SK. She married Vern shortly after graduating from Scott Collegiate. They soon started their family with Mom devoting her early years to raising their three children, and later enjoying a lengthy career with the Government of Saskatchewan at Wascana Centre Authority.

Bess is survived by her husband Vern Grebinsky; children Robert Grebinsky, Sharon Dorosh and Carol (Lyle) Norton; grandchildren Tammy (Rene), Adam (Heather), Kyle and Nicole; great-grandchildren Tein and Sheadin; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Robert McLeod Beatty and Laura Ellen Shearer; sister Lorna Adams; daughter-in-law Janet Grebinsky; sons-in-law Rick Dorosh and Jim Norton; great-grandson Tein Grebinsky.

Bess was beloved by all who knew her and will be remembered by her wonderful smile, joyful laughter and kind heart. Her greatest joys in life were her children and grandchildren. Bess and Vern spent many years curling, camping and golfing together. Mom enjoyed entertaining her family, friends and treasured neighbours over the years both at home and the cottage at Regina Beach.

The family would like to express their gratitude toward the staff at Santa Maria Senior Citizens Home for the care and compassion mom received while residing there.

She will be dearly missed.
