It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Leola Pearl Warbey on Sunday, March 19, 2023.

Pearl was the second of five children. Born in 1925 to John and Matilda Ganshorn, she was raised on the family farm near Grand Coulee, SK. After completing grades 9-12 at Luther High School, where she was a boarding student, Pearl attended Reliance Business College. Upon graduation, she commenced working at the Federated Co-op Refinery where she later became head of the secretarial pool, eventually leaving to raise her family.

Pearl and Jack (Warbey) first met while attending a dance at the Regina Ballroom as a guest of Don Messer and the Islanders. They were married in the RCMP Chapel on May 4, 1957, and together they raised two children.

Pearl is survived by her son Brian (Joanne) Warbey; daughter Linda (George) Trowell; grandchildren Loni (Kirk) Sittler and Evan (Katrina) Trowell; great-grandchildren Brielle, Lacey and Drayson; as well as two sisters, lolene and Lorene; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pearl was predeceased by her beloved husband Jack in 1998; parents John and Matilda Ganshorn; brother Floyd (Beryl) Ganshorn; sister Jean (Roy) Prizeman; and brothers-in-law Ralph Toothill and Ted Ellingham.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at RCMP Chapel, 5600 11th Avenue, Regina, SK. Interment will occur at a later date.
