Obituary of RoseMarie Cecile Getz

Our Mom was first a daughter, a sister, then a wife, then a mother, then a grandmother & a great grandmother. She was always a best friend to anyone who needed her. She would have said she was a loner, but we know better. We've seen and heard from all the people that love her, she had so much love to give. RoseMarie was and amazing cook & baker, the scent of fresh bake bread or homemade soup, was always lingering in our home. RoseMarie was a music lover. She sang, wrote & played music, and she was wonderful at it....in fact she wanted to be the Partridge Family in real life. RoseMarie loved all her animals so much so, that at around the age of 3 or 4 years, she couldn't understand why her mom was upset when she wanted to take her pet chicken in the car for a ride from the farm to the city to go grocery shopping. She had a pet pig she would give her bubble gum to, and then save the gum to give to the pig the next day. We can speak from a daughters perspective on our beautiful Mother, but she was much more than our Mother, sister, grandmother, daughter. RoseMarie is a unique loving soul, a strong woman, that blessed all of our lives more than anyone could ever, ever imagine. She laughed without reservation, she cried with her whole heart, she felt with her whole being, & she danced like no one was watching. She had a compassion for others and a sense of what always was the right thing to do by another soul.

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of RoseMarie Cecile Getz on Friday, January 27, 2023 at the age of 79.

RoseMarie will be lovingly remembered by her children Belinda (Robert) Wrobel, Kelly Getz, Darcy Getz and Natasha Getz; grandchildren Donovan (Jessica) Wrobel, Maria (Mark) Karadimas, Jacob Getz, Caleb Getz (Nikki Trampus), Levi Getz and Rachael (Jeremy) Carlton; great-grandchildren Eric, Theodore and Kalia Neis; brothers; Leonard Gowsell, Kenny Gowsell (Julie Mercado), Neil Gowsell and Wade Gowsell; nephew Craig (Jenni) Gowsell; great-nieces and nephews David Bawden, Riley Gowsell, and Hunter Gowsell; and special friends Louise Jetmundson, Karrie Smith, Paul McKenna, Marian Fennah, John Currie, Gerrie Currie, Ken Currie and Sharon Dwernychuk Ingram. She was predeceased by her parents Kathleen and David Gowsell; Frederick Lewis; daughter-in-law Rebecca Mackenzie; and special friends Dawn Fennah and Jeanette Currie
