Obituary of Beatrice Bateson

Beatrice passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 23, 2016 at the age of 88 years with her family by her side. She was born on July 26, 1927 in Willow Bunch, SK to George and Minnie Wenaus. Beatrice was predeceased by her parents and brother Calvin. Bea will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 68 years Dean; her son Terry (Bev) their daughters, Jamie (Shane) O’Halloran, great granddaughter Kaylee; Jodi (Ryan) O’Halloran, great grandson Logan; her daughter Brenda (Garry) Elliott their children, Shauna (Dustin Gusikoski) great grandchildren Easton and Ava; David Elliott. Beatrice will be missed by her brother Harold (Nancy) Wenaus, twin sister Bernice Greenwood, sister Doris Munro, sisters in law Sherri Wenaus and Muriel Neff; many nieces and nephews and their families, as well as many friends. A special gift Mom gave us was her positive outlook on life and the love and hugs which she shared with us whenever we were together. She loved her family and planning family gatherings was her specialty. She enjoyed all the wonderful neighbours and friends she made over the years. She spent many hours doing what she loved which included knitting, needlepoint, listening to music, reading, playing cards, baking, sharing her photo albums and watching sports. She will be missed and always loved by all. In lieu of flowers those wishing to make a donation in memory of Beatrice may do so to the charity of one’s choice.
