Obituary of Mary Anne Mantee

It is with great sadness to announce the sudden passing of our beloved mother, Kokom, and great-Kokom on Monday, February 6, 2023 in Regina, SK.

Mom will be greeted by family in the heavens, her partner and father of their five children Alfred Desjarlais; sons Kevin and Deon Mantee; grandsons Kevin Jr and Dwight Mantee. She was predeceased by her parents Adlard and Clara mantee (nee Cappo); sisters, Yvonne, Sylvia Jean and Cheryl; and brother Terry Mantee. Mom missed dearly her favourite relative, the late John Lerat;  as well too many to mention uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Mom will be loving remembered by her children Donna, Annette (Brian), Nelson, and Everette (Chelsea); and brother Joe Cappo. She raised Tamara, Becky, and Lloyd Manitopyes (aka Booka). Mom Will be lovingly remembered by grandchildren, Kyle, Shelby, Cassidy, Jessica, Clarissa, Ty, Austyn, Matthew, Jasmin, Christina, Cher, Shania, Jordan, and Donavon. Mom cherished her 26 great-grandchildren.

Wake will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, February 10, 2023 at Piapot Community Hall, Piapot First Nation, SK. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at the same location. Interment to follow at Piapot Main Cemetery, Piapot First Nation, SK.
