Obituary of Gail Francis King

Gail Francis King (nee Bailey) passed away at the age of 82 at home and surrounded by love on Saturday, January 28, 2023. Gail was born in Assiniboia, SK, daughter to James and Marion Bailey.

Gail is survived by her children, Lyle King, Lori (Dan) Baker, Leslie (Kirk) Adam and Larry (Brenda) King; grandchildren Joel (Alissa), Jenna, Jared, Ashley, Grant (Vicky), Brady and Sarah; and great-grandchildren,  Cara, Arianna and Annabelle, whom all were her greatest joy. She is further survived by siblings Craig (Pat) Bailey, Loney (Eve) Bailey, Diane Deck (Mel); sisters-in-law Phyllis Lindskog and Margaret Procknow. Gail shared many special memories with numerous nieces and nephews, especially Val Lloyd, whom she loved as a daughter. She was predeceased by her husband Keith, whom she missed dearly; and sister, Viola Sattler

Gail worked hard to provide for and help others in whatever fashion she could. She donated her time and efforts to Brownie’s for her daughters, charitable fundraising for kids’ camps, and many other volunteer roles. She found much joy in arranging social events, bringing family and friends together to entertain and share in laughs, filling their bellies with her many tasty meals and treats.

Gail loved creating handmade treasure’s, including sewing, ceramics and plastic canvas projects for all to enjoy. Special love and care went into her plastic Barbie furniture for her granddaughters to enjoy and share with future generations.  Gail loved all holidays, mostly Christmas and happily declared herself to have, “OCD” Obsessive Christmas Disorder.

To all who cared for Gail, your kindness, caring and empathy is greatly appreciated.  The family would like to thank everyone who has provided assistance to us during this difficult time.
