Obituary of Rita Marie Eugenie Bistretzan

It is with peace and sorrow in our hearts that we announce the passing of our mother Rita Bistretzan at the age of 84 on Thursday, January 12, 2023. Rita will be lovingly remembered by her three daughters, Donna (Paul) Balez, Karen (Fred Delarue) Bistretzan and Diana (Michael) Krpan; seven grandchildren, Keara (Justin) Lueke, Anthony Balez, Kalena (Kenton) Klassen, Amanda (Randy) Brown, Kaila (Drew) King, Sahara Bistretzan, Rhett (Holly) Neuberger; and 12 beautiful great-grandchildren, Temina, Leo, Elena, Owen, Dominic, Violet, Kali, Emmet, Levi, Arlo, Atlas and Anna. She was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Anton (Tu-Tu the clown); parents, Emile Geoffre Dionne and Catherine (nee Loewen) Dionne; and sister Dorean (Lorne) Ruckle. Rita was born and raised in Regina, SK. She attended Sacred Heart School, Scott Collegiate and trained at the Regina General Hospital Nursing College. Rita was a nurse for over 10 years. Tony and Rita operated Sherwood Forest Country Club for 10 years. She retired from the Government of Saskatchewan in 1995. For the remainder of her active years, Rita enjoyed her partner role and life as Mrs. Shu Shu the clown. She loved living on the farm, travelling in their RV and being active members in the Queen City Good Samaritan RV Club, the Regina and District Bee Club and attending the Avonhurst Pentecostal Assembly. A Private Family Funeral Service will be held.
