Obituary of Elinor Annie Rasmussen

Rasmussen, Elinor “Kelly” nee Stapleton - It is with great sadness that the family announces her passing on Saturday, January 7, 2023, at the age of 97. Kelly was predeceased by her loving husband Gordon; son Ron; parents Margaret and Norman Stapleton; and her siblings, Florence, Lillian, Arthur “Bud” and Victor Stapleton and Laura Weise. She is survived by her son Don (Jan) Rasmussen; daughter-in-law Connie Rasmussen; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Kelly was born in November 1925 and grew up on the family farm near Benson, SK before moving to Regina and meeting Gordon. Throughout her life Kelly loved to bowl, golf, curl and lawn bowl, even going to nationals. She also loved to play cards, bake and watch sports like football, baseball and curling. She loved spending time with her family and friends.

A private memorial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you donate to the charity of your choice.
