Obituary of Laura Bernice Goudy Gray

May 20, 1937 – November 15, 2022

On Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at 5:37 a.m., Laura passed away peacefully at the age of 85 with her family by her side.  The angels received her with open arms and welcomed her home.

Laura’s memory will be forever in the hearts of all those who loved her, especially her children:  Evelyn Gray; Bill (Laura) Gray; Randy (Lorie) Gray; Annette Gray (George); Tracey (Chris) Pelletier; Reneé (Marcos) Carrizo and their families; her siblings:  Emerson Goudy; Myles (Lillian) Goudy; Emma (Julianna) Cody and in-law Faye Goudy and all of their families; as well as her many other extended family and friends.

Laura was predeceased by her parents, Damon and Dortha (Thompson) Goudy; and siblings, David Goudy; Marion Goudy; Lloyd & Bernice Goudy; Luella & George Krasiun; Catherine (Kay) & Marion Orlowski; Eunice (Dorothy) Petrina; John Goudy; George & Elva Goudy; Lawrence Goudy; and Donald & Marge Goudy.

Family was the most important thing to Laura, her children and their families were her greatest treasures.  Besides raising her family (mostly as a single mom), Laura worked many different jobs throughout her lifetime.   Her most treasured career accomplishment by far was her involvement with the Frontiersmen where she worked Security for many years.  Laura was also the main caregiver for her mother Dortha in her final years. 

The family wishes to thank the Regina General Hospital Emergency Room Staff for their incredible care during Mom’s final hours.  The family also wishes to extend their sincerest and heartfelt thanks to Annette Gray for providing Mom with such gentle and loving care in Mom’s final years. 

Laura’s Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, December 16, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. at the Regina Eagles Club Hall located at 1600 Halifax Street, Regina, SK.  The family invites everyone attending in person for a time of fellowship and refreshments immediately following the Service.
