Obituary of Bernice Beattie

It is with great sadness that the family of M. Bernice Beattie announce her passing on Friday, November 18, 2022 at the age of 88 years at Regina General Hospital surrounded by family. Bernice was born on September 1, 1934. She was predeceased by her husband Henry; beloved son Ronald (Dede); grandson Michael; parents Muriel and Michael; sisters Shirley (Bunny), Bev, Dorothy, Winnie; and her brother Harold.

Bernice is survived by her children: Rick (Sherri), Penny (Howard) Stroh, Tim, Don (Lori) and Kevin (April); grandchildren Pam, Lauren, Mark, Briana, Kelly, Nicole, Danielle, Dylan, Sammie, Kayla, Tegan, Keanna and Aaron; great-grandchildren Ally, Hannah, Sophia, Hudson, Jakob, Molly, Drew, Brielle, Brooklyn, Bennett, Raine and Maia; daughter-in-law Gwen Beattie; as well as one aunt and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Bernice devoted her life to her family and was so proud of every one of them. She touched the lives of so many people that she met along the way, whether it was friends of her children or friends of her own, even at times complete strangers. Bernice was kind and caring and had an amazing sense of humour. She was often seen at her children’s or grandchildren’s sporting events and loved every minute of it. Bernice was deeply loved and will be missed by so many people.

Bernice suffered two strokes in the past three months and, despite a valiant battle, wasn’t able to recover. She will be cremated and laid to rest with her son as per her wishes. A Celebration of Life will be planned for Spring/Summer 2023.
