Obituary of Blair Schmidt

It is with deep sadness the family of Blair Schmidt announce his passing on Monday, October 17th, 2022 at the age of 67 years. Blair passed away with dignity at home with his wife Linda and daughter Sarah by his side, after a long and valiant battle with cancer.

Blair is survived by and leaves to mourn his wife Linda Tillusz; daughter Sarah Tillusz, niece Shayna Connery; brother-in-law Dave Tillusz and family friend Anita Jadischke. Blair also leaves behind numerous family members and friends, all very special to him.

Blair was predeceased by his parents Harold (1978) and Pearl (2001) Schmidt along with his sister Sandra (2022) Connery.

Blair was born in Neudorf, SK. Growing up he spent a lot of his time helping on Granny and Grandad Schmidt's farm at Bangor, SK. After his family moved to Regina he attended Haultain School and then Balfour Technical School. In his younger years he loved playing fastball, hockey and also enjoyed water skiing at Crooked Lake. Another great enjoyment for Blair was going fishing, especially the last few years with Sarah. His work life included being a welder, glazier, farmer and finally a truck driver. Many lifelong friends were attained and good times were had. His passion though was being on the farm.  Blair had a creative and analytical mind when it came to building and repair projects. He enjoyed many hours working on projects with Sarah, Sandra, Shayna, Dave and his Grandad.

Honouring Blair's wishes there will be no service held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Regina Humane Society.
