Joseph Stephen “Papayas” CAPPO
March 9, 1930 – July 12, 2016
It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved brother, father, uncle, mushom and great mushom Steven Cappo after a brief battle with cancer. Steven is predeceased by his parents Joseph Cappo and Liza Missens; brothers George, Sam, Earl, Edward, Robert and Delbert; sisters Florence and Violet. He is survived by his sisters Adeline (Ernest) Kaiswatum and Janice (Fred) Morin; special niece Patsy; daughters Suzie, Sandy, Shelly (mother Jean Benjoe) and son Conrad Smokeyday; special friends Alvina (Stanley) Poitras and family. He leaves to mourn his passing numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Papayas will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all. Traditional Wake will be held at Muscowpetung Educational Centre on Thursday July 14, 2016 at 4:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Friday July 15, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. Burial at Muscowpetung Cemetery.
