Obituary of Edward James Michalski
We are saddened by the sudden passing of Edward James Michalski on Thursday, September 29, 2022.
He is survived by his loving wife Linda; son Andrew (Merissa Scarlett), granddaughter Irene; daughter Kerrin (Ian Montgomery); Linda’s brother Joel Dimond (Brenda). He is also survived by his siblings: Betty (Denis), Henry Jr. (Judy); Marina (Ian), Verna (Jim); and Glenda (Dave); special aunt Maxine Desrosiers. He will also be missed by his dog Peanut.
He was predeceased by his parents; Henry Michalski and Evelyn Michalski (Desrosiers), in-laws Roy Dimond and Irene Dimond as well as many aunts and uncles. At Ed’s request, he has been cremated and a family burial will take place at a later date.
Ed had a zest for life. He loved his work and never felt like work was a chore. He loved dancing, camping, fishing, golfing, and travelling. His favourite camping spot was Deep Lake, Manitoba and we spent many years camping there each summer. He travelled to Vancouver Island many times to go salmon fishing, though he still owes Linda $12.00 for all the fishing bets. Ed and Linda also travelled to Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, Hawaii, St. Lucia, but his favourite was Cuba and they travelled there many times. He was thrilled when his first grandchild, Irene, was born. He got excited every time he received a new photo of her and we are so thankful he got to meet her.
A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Broadway United Church, 105 Broadway Avenue, Regina, SK. Those wishing to view a live stream of the service please visit:
