Obituary of Richard Reinhold Bundus
Bundus, Richard Reinhold
August 19, 1928 - September 6, 2022
With heavy hearts we would like to announce the passing of our loved one, Richard Bundus. Richard was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and friend. His passion for farming and caring for the land was truly his legacy. What a life! Richard lived a full life of love, family, and farming. He was born to immigrant parents, growing up on the farm and then farming with his wife, Lillian, for over 50 years. Richard experienced the amazing progression in agriculture from working the fields with his grandfather with mules, then running teams of horses on the fields to tractors. After retirement Richard still loved to return to the farm to admire the cattle, hay crops, garden and all the trees. He enjoyed spending time at the farm, even if to sit and give the beloved dogs some pats. He was a strong man, filled with good humor, pearls of wisdom and great advice which we will always hold dear to our hearts. A life truly well lived! He will be missed by his family and friends but always remembered. Special thanks for all the care and attention provided to Richard during his last days from all the staff at RGH 6F, TCU and Parkside Extendicare.
Richard is survived by beloved wife, Lillian; son Kevin (Pat); daughter Shelley Brodziak (nee Bundus); and son Curtis (Karry); grandchildren Elliot (Amanda), Ethan (Katie), Jackie (Aaron), Sarah and Tamara; great-grandchildren Gabriel, Arthur, Renee, Jessie and Jedediah; brother Alfred (Joyce); and sister-in-law, Phyllis. A Private Graveside Service has been held.
In Loving Memory
Richard Bundus
