In loving memory of Robert Dale Jackson
May 22, 1948 - August 26, 2022

Dad passed away peacefully in palliative care at the Pasqua Hospital, after a courageous two year battle with pancreatic cancer.

Dad grew up on the family farm north of Ogema, SK.  After leaving the farm, Dad married Mom, Anne Reich of Weyburn, in the summer of 1970.  Over the years they lived in Colgate, Estevan, Weyburn, and Regina.  They moved to the family farm in 1979 to raise their family, moving back to Regina in the 90's.

Throughout his life, Dad wore many hats, including farmer, welder, computer technician, and bakery owner/operator.

Dad was an avid musician throughout his whole life.  Learning piano as a young boy and moving into his lifetime passion of playing the electric and steel guitar.  Dad enjoyed jamming with friends throughout the years.

Through the years Dad pursued many different interests and hobbies which included fishing, forging knives, building and flying model airplanes, metal fabrication, building computers, and numerous other challenging projects. One of his most intricate was the small hit-and-miss motor which he assembled after making all of the parts on his metal lathe.  Although Mom would have loved having newer appliances and vehicles, there wasn’t anything Dad couldn’t fix or build on his own.

Dad loved spending time with his family. Whether it was going out for Friday suppers with mom, fishing with his children, making cinnamon buns with grandchildren, attending various Christmas or musical concerts, soap box derbies, hockey or volleyball games, Dad always enjoyed spending time and making memories with them.

Bob was predeceased by his father, Thomas Jackson; mother Emma Jackson (nee Miller); infant brother Dwayne; older brothers Leroy and Don; father-in-law Henry Reich; mother-in-law Emily Reich (nee Grams); sisters-in-law, Mona Layh and Noreen Reich; brothers in law, Arnold, Leo, Ralph, Roman, Henry Reich, Loris Walsh, Joseph Ustupski and Donald McFadden.

Bob will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 52 years, Anne Jackson; daughter Sheri (Allan) Mead, grandson Jesse (Karissa) and great-grandson Theodore, grandsons Mitchell and James, and granddaughter Madeline; son Darren (Elvira), granddaughters Paisley and Scarlett; son Harley (Lindsay), grandsons Ashton and Henry.

Bob is survived by his brothers Garry (Betty) Jackson and Dave (Angie) Jackson; in-laws, Bev Jackson, Gemma Jackson, Helen Walsh, Linda McFadden, Jean Reich,  Dan Reich, Cathy Reich, James Reich, Harry (Eunice) Reich, Eileen (Tom) Ference, Marlene Ustupski (Dan), Aaron  (Dayna) Reich, Shirley Weatherald, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

We would like to acknowledge the exceptional care that Dad was given in the 3A palliative care unit, especially the amazing nurse Haley, who showed such compassionate care during this difficult time.  Also, special thanks to Dr. Michel, Dr. Souied, and Dr. Ferguson for their excellent care.

To honour Bob’s wishes there will be no funeral service. We may have a gathering with family and friends at a later date.
