Obituary of Donald Lewis Poth

Please share a memory of Donald to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

The family of Donald Poth is saddened to announce his passing on Thursday, August 4, 2022 in Regina, SK at the age of 75. Donald was born to Martin and Emilie Poth in Earl Grey, SK on June 1, 1947 along with Douglas, his twin brother. Left to mourn him are his brothers Lloyd Poth of Saskatoon, SK and Douglas Poth, Regina, SK; niece Melissa Brooks (Tyler) and their children, Owen, Charlotte and Josie; nephew Michael Poth (Anika Cormier) and their children Wyatt, Sonja and Clark; as well as other extended family members and friends. Growing up on the farm at Earl Grey he knew the joys of gardening, farming and friends. He loved tractors and all John Deere farm machinery, even more than the Roughriders. A truly gentle man with a ready smile and a willing hand, he will be fondly remembered by those who knew him from his work to more recently the Regina Seniors Centre and his travels by bus around the city.

We would like to thank the staff at the Pasqua Hospital, Unit 4A, and Grace Hospice for their kind care during his brief stay there.

In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to a charity of your choice in Donald’s memory.

A Family Graveside Service will be held at a later date. A Get Together will be planned from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at Regina Seniors Centre, 2134 Winnipeg Street, Regina, SK, to share stories, memories, a few laughs (reminiscences) and to celebrate Donald.
