Obituary of Robert Brian Gauthier

We are sad to announce the passing of Bob Gauthier of Regina on Friday, May 27, 2022 at the age of 79. Bob was predeceased by his special friend of 25 years, W. June Cox. They were both long-time residents of Palliser Place in Regina. Bob was born in Vancouver, BC and at the age of 18 he joined the Canadian military. He was honourably discharged seven years later having achieved the rank of Lieutenant. Bob eventually settled in Regina, where he became a Commissionaire and served for many years at the Regina airport. Due to Bob’s declining health the last few years, he became a resident of the Wascana Rehabilitation Centre. He soldiered on with his usual self-deprecating sense of humour and his easygoing nature. We thank all of Bob’s caregivers for their care and compassion. An informal gathering will be held at the gravesite at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 3, 2022 at Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery, 815 Assiniboine Avenue East, Regina, SK. For those attending, please meet inside the gates at 9:45 a.m.
