Obituary of Phyllis Mary Schmidt

Please share a memory of Phyllis to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Phyllis Mary Schmidt (nee Bryce) 1938 - 2016 Phyllis passed away surrounded by loved ones on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 after a brief illness. She was predeceased by her mother Phyllis Bryce; father John Bryce; husband Ernie Schmidt and son Kelly Schmidt. She is survived by children Lauri (Jim) Fystrom, Tim (Connie) Schmidt, Kim (Bob) Vibert and Geoff Schmidt, Shantel (Derrick) Lipp, Tyra (Chris) Dorosh as well as sister Margret (Richard) Fornwald and brother Bev Bryce. She will be truly missed by her grandchildren that she helped raise, Dillon, Dalton, Cole, Ashley (Tom) and Nathan, Justin and Tylan. She will be missed by many friends (Deena and Kathy) and extended family as well. Mom was the ultimate caregiver. There was no shortage of fabulous meals, phone calls, cookies, special care packages, crafts...something for everyone. Mom rarely sat still except to read her novels in her tidbits of spare time. It is her time to rest and read until we meet again. Special thanks to the ER and ICU staff at the Pasqua Hospital for their excellent care. There will be no formal funeral service. We will be celebrating her life among close family and friends. Flowers gratefully declined. Donations may be made to Hospitals of Regina or a charity of your choice.
