My earliest memory is seeing Ida in the Gateway Cafe in town drinking coffee with her lady friends for most of my childhood. The table was always full of laughter. Later on I became a CCA at Golden Prairie and had the pleasure of taking care of Ida there for 2 years before I moved away. She was such a sweet lady, and always down for a visit! That woman could talk for hours about anything and everything but especially her children and grandchildren. I will always remember the way she used to lovingly scold us with a huge smile on her face when we would open her window. She would say “you’re going to make me freeze!” And then start laughing and ask for a blanket or two. She has such a sweet, bright smile. I think I will miss that and her laughter the most.
