Obituary of Jenise Irene Heese

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jenise Heese on Monday May 23, 2022.

A private family funeral service will be held.

A come and go celebration will be held on Sunday May 29, 2022 from 2:00 p.m - 5:00 p.m at Paragon Funeral and Cremations services located at  521 Victoria Avenue, Regina, Saskatchewan.

Jenise is survived by her daughter My'Easha; mother Lisa Heese; chosen dad Chris Neufeldt; brothers Eden and Levi Neufeldt; grandparents Fred and Margaret Heese; God mother Annie Brass; God father Douglas Aubichon; as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews; and Kokum Brenda George and Aunty Tracey George-Heese. She was Predeceased by stillborn baby sister Asha; grandmother Winnifred George; and great-grandparents Eleanor and Arthur George.

Jenise always had the most beautiful smile, with a spirited personality. She was charismatic, but what others loved about Jenise, was how honest and direct she could be. Yes, she had a troubled life and experienced many traumas, in spite of all those difficulties of growing up in institutions as a youth and adult; Jenise still remained, kind and loyal. She loved her daughter very much and would bead jewelry and made her moccasins. Jenise wrote many letters, phone calls and made the effort to visit. She would spend time with us, visiting, laughing and making plans together. She was all about make up artistry, learning the skills of beauty and make-up application. While incarcerated she created goals for the life she hoped to live. Jenise wanted a healthy lifestyle free of addictions. She wanted a life that included her daughter. It is with great sadness for us that she leaves us, to begin her journey to the happy hunting grounds. Where she will be joined with family and friends. Kinanaskomitin
