Obituary of Margaret Rose Bousfield

Margaret “Marge” Rose Bousefield (nee Gorniak), age 70, of Regina, SK passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 19, 2022. Many beloved family and friends have predeceased Marge, including her parents Rose and John Gorniak; three grandchildren Travis Tumach, Kendal and Kara Gyorfi; one unnamed great-grandbaby; brothers Andrew Gorniak, Peter Gorniak, and Nick Gorniak; and sisters Betty Tworkowski and Eileen Linder.  Margaret is survived by her children Tracey, Curtis (Tina), Jonathon, and Jillian (Robert) Gyorfi; grandchildren Jordan (Kayla Gabel), Leighanne (Oscar Burdick), Dane and Nolan Gyorfi; siblings Marie Shipley-Powell, Agnes Weisgerber, Doreen Chickowski (Lyle Nolan), Joan Stephen, Bill Gorniak (Shirley Melnyk), Norman (Susan) Gorniak, Bernie (Cindy) Gorniak, Delores Gray (Greg Cochrane); sister-in-law Shirley Gorniak, and grand-friends Shaina and Skyler Goodhue. There are many other extended family and friends that Marge loved and whom will miss her dearly.

Marge was born in Montmarte, SK then moved to Regina as a teenager and moved to Thompson, MB for a decade before settling back in Regina. Her careers included hairdressing, installing window treatments, working in housekeeping at Wascana Rehab and Pioneer Village, driving school kids, and cleaning houses. Margaret had many skills including interior and exterior painting, sewing, and gardening. She enjoyed hosting large family dinners. Marge loved Jesus. Her favourite Bible verse was Psalm 91.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 28, 2022 at Westhill Park Baptist Church, 8025 Sherwood Drive, Regina with a reception to follow. For those unable to attend, a livestream may be found at westhillchurch.ca. Interment to follow at a later date. In lieu of gifts, those who wish may consider making a monetary donation to the charity of their choice. Another way to honour Marge would be donating blood to Canadian Blood Services.
