Obituary of Ada-Lou Elizabeth Kerr

Please share a memory of Ada-Lou to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ada-Lou Elizabeth Kerr who passed peacefully on Thursday, May 5, 2022 at the age of 79 in Regina, SK.

She was predeceased by her parents Ray and Cavell Collier; brother Jack Collier; and nephew Bobby Collier.

Ada-Lou’s memory will forever be cherished by her husband Arthur Kerr; daughters Yvonne (Danny) Cook and Shauna Fox (Randy); stepdaughter Pam Roberts; stepson Chris (Alyssa) Kerr; grandchildren Danielle Cook (Dwain), Caitlyn Cook (Chris), Alyssa Fox, Jamie Fox, Brady Kerr, Layla Kerr, Emily Roberts and Jessica Roberts; great-grandson Walker Woodrow; niece Tracy Pauls, many cousins, relatives and friends.

Ada-Lou was born to Ray and Cavell Collier on February 28, 1943 in Medicine Hat, AB. She spent most of her childhood in Terrace, BC before moving to Prince Rupert, BC where she raised her family. She worked in the bank for many years before becoming a Real Estate Agent. Ada-Lou retired to move back to Terrace to marry Art. They later moved to Salmon Arm, BC, then to Paul Lake, BC and eventually settled in Regina, SK.

Ada-Lou was an avid curler, golfer and bowler for many years. She loved to dance – especially with her brother Jack. Growing up, their dates would be left behind at the school dances while the two of them jived up a storm. It was a common occurrence to find Mom and Art dancing in the kitchen.

Mom and Art spent numerous winters in Mazatlan, Mexico with their Mexican families and snowbird friends from Canada and the USA. There wasn’t a place that they were happier to be at.

An interment and gathering will take place at the Gull Lake cemetery at a later date.

The family would like to thank the White City first responder, the Regina paramedics and the White City RCMP for their compassion and kindness.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Regina Community Fridge via e-transfers to reginacommunityfridge@gmail.com
