PAT SAWCHUK
Pat (AKA Petronella & Nellie) was reunited with our Dad, Mac on Sunday June 5, 2016. Mom was a Dutch War Bride who on her arrival in Canada gasped at the thought of using an outhouse in -30F. She grew up with indoor plumbing and amenities unheard of in Saskatchewan and it was quite a feat to embrace this change in her lifestyle. Into her 90's Mom was stylish and turned heads with her classy fashions. She was a straight shooter and enjoyed life to the fullest....she never met a casino or slot machine she didn't like or a rye and coke that wasn't tasty. She is survived by her children Marleen, Frank and Bev and their families. The grandchildren loved her accent and enjoyed her wordisms and witty interpretation of the English language.....as she did theirs. She passed on her sense of humour to them......as they called her "Gramma Dynamite" and adored her free spirit and cash gifts. Mom was predeceased by her husband Mac in 1995 and son Ted in 2007. Til we meet again...... IK HOU VAN JOU. I love you in Dutch.
