Obituary of Leo August Deis

 

DEIS, Leo August
1935- 2022

Leo August Deis, born November 17, 1935 in Bracken, Saskatchewan passed away peacefully with his loving wife at his side on the morning of Wednesday, March 23, 2022.

He joins his parents John and Lena Deis; brother Wilfred Deis; and in-laws Anton and Margaret Frank in God’s gracious care.

Leo will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 57 years, Dolores; children Linda, Tom (Denise), Susan (Glenn), and Nancy (Stephen) Nelson; grandchildren Michael (Alex), Niklas and Jordynn, Sasha and Kyle (Melissa), and Jared and Colton Nelson; great-grandchild Olivia; siblings Agnes, Marion, Freda (Lawrence), and Richard (Diane); as well as brothers and sisters-in-law; numerous nieces and nephews; and special honourary grandchildren Lyndsie, Diamond, Aleena and Doran.  

Leo’s great love for children, who he endlessly entertained with all his tricks and funny nicknames, along with the special bond he made with his nieces and nephews and all the daycare children from the past 55 years will be fondly remembered by all who were blessed to be a part of his life.

Special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff on Unit 5A at the Regina General Hospital for the compassionate care and kindness shown to Leo and his family.
