Obituary of Agnes Lillian Huber
Agnes passed away peacefully at College Park II in Regina, SK on Sunday, March 20, 2022, at the age of 92. Agnes was born on the family farm by Lipton, SK. She married Anton Michael John Huber on October 21, 1950 in Regina, SK. They moved to Gladmar, and also lived in Neville, Lipton and Balgonie. Balgonie was their home for 45 years before moving to Regina in 2005. Agnes was a homemaker, raising five children. Once the children were older, she worked at the Balgonie Highway Café, Homecare, Army & Navy mail-order and Sears. Agnes enjoyed entertaining friends and family and playing cards after the evening meal. Agnes was involved in the Balgonie Community Club and St. Joseph’s CWL. She enjoyed sewing, knitting and crocheting, playing cards and loved to work in her garden and flowerbeds. Agnes was one of 19 children born to Henry and Christina (Sedo) Behl. She was predeceased by her husband, Anton, of 68 years, and by 15 of her siblings. She was also predeceased by her sons-in-law, Ron Gaebel and Stanley Zielinski Sr.; grandson Stanley Zielinski Jr.; two great-great-grandchildren Cooper and Tatiania. Agnes is survived by her children Sharon Zielinski, Gerald (Valerie) Huber, Cheryl (Dean) Holzapfel, Toni Gaebel, Frances and Bruce Huber; 15 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren and 24 great-great grandchildren.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 31, 2022 in St. Joseph’s R.C. Church, 302 King Street, Balgonie, SK. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Hospitals of Regina Foundation, 1874 Scarth Street, Regina, SK, S4P 4B3 or the Allan Blair Cancer Clinic, 4101 Dewdney Avenue, Regina, SK, S4T 7T1.
